Combination juice recipes for savory juices using my Fresh Juice Base, for ease of reference.
Pickle Juice
It's dill pickles! In a glass! This fresh tasting light beverage is perfect for very hot days where hydration is needed. For best result, you'll want to let this meld together for at least several hours, or overnight. Himilayan Sea Salt or other completely unrefined salts will help to add essential minerals and sodium to this drink and will add that much needed 'tang'. If you really want to get a hit of 'pickle juice' you could always make a cocktail of this and about a cup of VERY fermented kombucha (closing in on vinegar). For me, I'd prefer the fresher version.
2 c Fresh Spinach
2 C Cucumber Juice
1 C chopped Spring or Green Onion
2 T chopped onion
1 c fresh chopped dill weed (I use the whole plant)
2 T fresh, chopped parsley
1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt or other unrefined salt
3 c Fresh Juice Base
If you have a greens attachment, you can run the produce through this and then add the Fresh Juice Base. Otherwise, place all ingredients in blender, topping off with Fresh juice base, and blend till smooth. Strain through white dinner napkin and chill at least 2 hours, or overnight. Optional, mix in desired quantities with well fermented kombucha.
YIELD: appx. 1 Quart
